Does it freez ok after you add the cheese? I've never had luck with that, I usually omit and add after defrosting. Is there a trick to it?

We make and freeze several varieties of pesto and always include the Parmesan cheese. I havent noticed any problems doing it this way. The recipe on this post is not my original recipe so I can only respond that it works for us. I do admit that when making garlic scape pesto, I dont always follow this recipe exactly. We frequently add parsley and/or cilantro. Maybe these leafy greens help with the consistency.
