EverGreen Farm's CSA Operation for the year 2018:
- We are decreasing the number of paying shares we can offer to match the workload we experience during our busiest time of the year (the fall) when Farmer Shain goes back to teaching school.
- The CSA shares will be $650.
- I will no longer be making CSA deliveries to pick up sites. All produce pickups will be at EverGreen Farm. (Consider teaming up with other members to take turns with the weekly drive to Smoot. I can assist with making such arrangements for those interested.)
- Regular pickup day is being switched to Thursday. All produce will be kept in a large refrigerated cooler for several days for convenient pickups.
- Workshare positions will be prioritized first to those who can be a full workshare, and second to a pair of individuals who team up to work for one full workshare. If the positions do not fill up with regular workshares, we will then consider other variations (such as part work/part pay).
I am in the process of finalizing all our 2018 sign up and Workshare paperwork which will be on this website soon. Meanwhile, I am still posting regularly on Instagram and Facebook.
If you are interested in our Microgreens, please contact me. I hope to have all those details on this blog soon too. I am currently growing sunflower and pea shoots on a regular basis, microgreens (varieties may vary from week to week, but some of our favorites are arugula, collards, and kale), and wheatgrass (for decoration, pets, and juicing).
Again, we thank you sincerely for your support over the years.
