Before I can start setting traps in the greenouses, I had to find the traps. They were in a bucket out in the hay shed. The bucket was full of snow. The traps were frozen. So I've layed them out to thaw. I'll try again tomorrow.
And speaking of greenhouses, this picture was taken inside greenhouse #2. Shain and I decided to winter over all the spinach and beets left over from last year so we could keep up our healthy eating habits. Come about Christmas, we got a little tired of green smoothies.
2 months later and the spinach in greenhouse #2 looks exactly as I left it. The tops of the beets have seen better days, but the beets are great. Too bad I have to turn this all under so we can spread a layer of compost on the ground and get this area ready for spring planting. I'll harvest as much spinach and beets as I can before then and make myself sick of green smoothies again. Tonight it's spinach quiche.
